Private Sessions

Private sessions can be arranged with Gail Noppe-Brandon, LMSW and Narrative Coach, either in-person or via Skype. Like the FYV workshops, these sessions focus on articulating and reframing the client’s story, through the use of dramaturgical questions and key phrases.

In and out-of-session writing assignments may augment the work, but revision of the way client’s see and feel their own story, and the possibilities for their stories, is the focus of the work. This approach is beneficial to all states in which someone might find themselves stuck, and is particularly so at points of great transition, as from adolescence to college, early marital years, new parenthood, empty nesters, retirees, career changers, those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one, or after the diagnosis of a disease. It is also effective for persistent social phobias, depression, aging, emotion regulation issues and special learning needs.

Gail has a long track record of success with those who suffer shyness, poor attention span, low self-esteem, emotional giftedness, and blocks to creativity. Her work with communication blocks has been featured on PBS, she has trained other clinicians in NYC in her Narrative Coaching techniques, is author of Find Your Voice, One Vision, Many VoicesTilly Takes  A Try and she recently co-authored a chapter on online therapy with narrative therapist, Dr. Robert Neimeyer.

Gail works part time at the Jewish Board for Family and Children’s Services, Manhattan Greenberg Clinic. Call 212-741-9868 or email gnb@findyourvoice.us to arrange a consultation for an individual, couple or family meeting.
