Creative Expression Grief & Transition Camp NYC
The Place To Be Seen and Heard!
JULY 9-13th 18 W. 18th Street (near Union Sq)*PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE
Have you recently lost a loved one? You are not alone!
Your Voice Grief Camp is a kind of un-therapy, in which participants feel comfortably seen and heard. Led by program founder and Licensed Clinician, Gail Noppe-Brandon (contributor to Techniques In Grief Therapy, edited by Dr. Robert Neimeyer) This camp is geared especially toward teens and tweens who have experienced family interruption (death, incarceration, foster care, divorce, etc). It will give them a place to heal in the company of others, in a task-oriented group that will focus on creative expression, emotional
intelligence and communication skills.
In a safe and supportive environment, you will be guided through a creative writing and acting exercise, in the company of others who have a shared life experience. Every participant leaves with better writing, speaking and listening skills… and new friendships!
To “see” the process, check out this video which aired on PBS’s award winning show In The Mix
